Kanav Vashist is a practicing lawyer based out of Delhi, currently serving as an Associate at our esteemed Delhi Office. He is a graduate of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, where he obtained his Bachelors of Business Administration and Bachelors of Law (B.B.A L.L.B.) degree in 2023. Kanav has dedicated the past six months to immersing himself in the intricate realm of International Trade and Customs. Specializing in Customs Litigation and advisory services.

Throughout his academic journey, Kanav actively sought out internships to broaden his legal horizons. During these internships, he diligently honed his skills in legal research, client information analysis, and the meticulous drafting of various legal documents and agreements. Furthermore, he actively participated in moot court competitions, conducted in-depth research for legal papers, and showcased his knowledge through engaging in quiz competitions.

Kanav’s professional expertise extends to assisting in a wide range of proceedings related to Customs and Excise Duty Law. This includes appeal proceedings, court appearances before the Supreme Court of India, and various High Courts across the nation. Kanav also assists in providing defense in cases where non-compliance with tax laws could potentially lead to criminal proceedings. Additionally, he assists in handling trade remedies, such as anti-dumping and countervailing duties.

In the scope of his responsibilities in litigation and advisory services, Kanav engages in drafting replies, representations, and statutory appeals before various judicial forums. Additionally, he showcases expertise in drafting writ petitions, civil appeals, and special leave petitions across multiple high courts and the Supreme Court of India.

Moreover, Kanav's expertise extends beyond the borders of India, as he is adept at drafting various international agreements. These agreements include but are not limited to High Sea Sales Agreement, Rights Offering Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, and Shareholders’ Agreement.
